Abstract

The very word coined as ‘Fruit’ is a produce or product of a flowering plant formed as a result of pollination and fertilisation. Common fruits in the market available ran g e from small lichi to apple, oranges, pears, custard-apple, apple etc. which generally vary in weight from 5 gms to 100/150 gms. After having these fruits, the next largest fruits available in the market come in sight are Green-coconut, Palm fruit (Tal), Pineapple, Jack-fruit and water melon, but it may be stated that the fruits quoted above are bit heavier than the previous types of fruits.
