Abstract

For the underprivileged section of the society, who are subjected to deprivation of various forms, education seems to be the most important tool of empowerment- the primary vehicle by which these economically and socially marginalized adults and children can be empowered to lift themselves from the existing levels of poverty and obtain the means to participate fully in their communities. This present research paper explores the power of education in empowerment of the socially deprived classes of the Indian society and develop a theoretical framework to analyse their empowerment trend in recent times.
