Abstract

Earlier observations. from this laboratory indicate that the raw seeds of horse gram do not support normal growth of young albino rats, while autoclaved seeds promote good growth. One of the reasons for the poor growth response of the raw seeds of horse gram may be due to the poor digestibility of the protein.
