Abstract

When the dietetic patterns of people with low income group are carefully studied, it is noticed that this under-nourished population do not get enough proteins, calories, essential amino acids and many other essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals, etc. In spite of these deficiencies, these people do not show frank signs of the deficiencies of proteins or amino acids as reported hitherto in the literature.
