Jump To References Section
Abstract
Coronary heart disease (CHD)is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in the present century. It has been estimated that even at the lowest possible figure, the incident is 1.04 per cent or that 2.78 million people in India suffer from CHD. No body doubts that lipids are a major component of atherosclerotic lesions, which is characterised by the accumulation of triglycerides, cholesterol and its esters. Diet plays a role in the development of hypercholesterolemia and elevated serum lipids.Downloads
