Abstract

Breastmilk is easy to feed, clean, always at right temperature, requires no mixing, no sterilisation and is freely available. Breastmilk is a live substance containing enzymes and antibodies specially designed to protect the infant's very vulnerable body system. The natural immunising agents found in breastmilk gives the child's body the necessary power to fight diseases like diarrhoea, gastroenteritis, respiratory problems and allergies.
