Abstract

Fluorosis is a type of crippling deformity. Its prevalence must be reported and studied. But the exact prevalence of the disease in India is not available so far; therefore, the magnitude of problem is not really known. secondly, the disease has a tendency to be present in pockets only, it does not involve widespread areas. People living in Banasthali, District Tonk, are seen to be suffering from this disease and cases of fluorosis were observed here by investigators as well as by Medical officers. But so far, the prevalence of the disease has not been reported, therefore the present investigation on fluorosis was undertaken in Banasthali.
