Abstract
The prevalence of Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM) among preschool children is high in most of the developing countries. These may lead to retardations in both the physical growth and intellectual development in later years. Many anthropometric indices have been suggested for the assessment of the nutritional status of pre-school children. Important among them are: weight, height weight/height, weight for height, arm circumference, head circumference, and chest circumference.Downloads
