Abstract

Malnutrition among the preschool children is one of the major public health problems in India. Only 20.3 percent of preschool children were found to be nutritionally normal while others were suffering from mild, moderate or severe malnutrition. On a previous study it was observed that the major factors which contributed to the improvement in infant mortality were a changed attitude to small infants and an ability to use health services appropriately. Nutrition education is one of the most effective methods for improving the nutritional status of the people.
