Abstract

The problem of an elastic infinite plate with a straight crack under uniform pressure is generally solved by assuming the crack as the limiting elliptic hole with minor axis equal to zero [ la ] . The problem may, otherwise, also be solved by reducing it to the Hilbert equations.
