Abstract

Invertebrates, photoperiodic stimulation of hormonal secretions facilitate gonadal maturation & reproductive activities in their breeding season. The present review discusses the pivotal roles of certain endocrine glands viz. testis, ovary & thyroid regarding photoperiodic responses to reproduction under the influence of pituitary, - the master gland.
