Abstract

Certain species, either isolated or in crystal structure can afford spatial enclosures which resemble cages, channels or containers and accommodate another kind of molecular or ionic species. Such host-guest complexes, also- called inclusion compounds, are being extensively studied nowadays because of their interesting physico-chemical behaviour relevant to modern synthetic chemistry. Such imprisonment is stated in brief.
