Abstract

The Integrated Child Development Service in India was initiated in 1975, October 2nd to improve the overall health and nutritional status of vulnerable groups by means of integrated approach, viz. nutrition, health, immunisation and education. This exercise was expected to bring improved nutritional status in terms of better height, weight and other physical parameters thus elevating the malnourished children to normal growth pattern.
