The sequencing of the COI region at 650bp was compared with sequence of Orius majusculus (Reuter), available at NCBI by BLASTn. The cluster analysis based on dendogram revealed B. pallescens and O. majusculus to be more closely related, while X. flavipes and C. exiguus were distinct. The usefulness of characterisation and phylogenetic relationship among the anthocorid populations for their effective utilisation in pest management is discussed. ER -
