Abstract

Morphology and life history of a new septate gregarine (Apicomplexa : Conoidasida) Gregarina gastrimargi n. sp. occurring in the midgut of an orthopteran insect, Gastrimargus africanus africanus from Sundarban region of West Bengal, India have been described. Its affinities with closely related species have been discussed.
