Hydroxide Surfactants

Abstract

The properties of hydroxide surfactants are critically reviewed. The general behaviours of single tailed surfactants, viz., aggregation, CMC, thermodynamics of micellization, micellar size, composition, microviscosity, hydration, degree of ionization and electrophoretic mobility along with solution behaviours of double tailed hydroxide surfactants are highlighted.
