Abstract

Acoustic Emission is a passive monitoring technique is basically proof testing of pressure vessels, pipelines, composites & ceramic materials, on line surveillance of structural components under dynamic load condition. It represents real time data analysis of defect growth, provides predictive ability. It is a very powerful tool for non-destructive testing of vessel/ equipment. Many Industries or agencies are involved in this field including Testing Laboratory, Aircraft Industries, Petrochemical Industries, Marine Industries & Gas companies. Which, rather than requiring 100% inspection.
