Abstract

Papillon- Lefevre Syndrome (PLS) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by severe periodontitis and palmoplantar hyperkeratosis. Microbial lipopolysaccharides and mutations of cathepsin C gene has been suggested as the most probable etiological factors for PLS. This article presents a case of a thirteen year old female and her sibling suffering from the disease.
