Abstract

Membranes of the bacterial cells or disease-affected cells of the host, play the key role in the action of drug used for the treatment of various diseases including cancer. Attempts have been made to focus the various functions of the membrane and transport of drugs through the membrane to reach the action sites or targets. Probable methods using the encapsulation of drug by liposomes, for the betterment of drug action specially for cancer drugs either on the membrane or its transport through the membrane has also been discussed.
