Energy Level and Protein Energy Ratio in Diets of Industrial Workers
Jump To References Section
Abstract
Industrial workers form an important segment of the population because of their significant contribution towards the nation's economy and development. Since work efficiency is known to be influenced by the intake of nutrients, it is important to collect sufficient data on the nutrient intake of industrial workers so that necessary measures may be taken to bring about improvements where necessary. Studies conducted on adult men by various scientists revealed that energy deficiency is associated with low body mass index (BMI) and lower work output. Mortality rate has also been reported to Increase progressively with increase in severity of undernutrition in men.Downloads
