Instructions to Authors
The editors of The Indian Journal of Nutrition and Dieteticsrequest the contributors to kindly adhere to the following requirements:
Manuscript should be submitted exclusively to The Indian Journal of Nutrition and Dietetics.
FORMAT OF THE MANUSCRIPT
Title – short and self explanatory
Abstract - about 200 – 250 words
Keywords – 6-8 key words
Introduction – the context of the problem with its suitable relevance and objectives in one or two sentences and description of what is expected to be found out.
Materials and Methods – outline of the study design, sample selection, analytical methods and data analysis, statistical tools.
Results and Discussion – based on data observed, statistical significance with suitable presentation in the form of tables or graphs / figures. Tables must be submitted in word format and figures in JPEG or TIFF format.
Conclusion – emphasize new and important outcomes of the study or observations.
References – APA format - complete and current, numbered consecutively in the order as they appear in the text; should have been published within the past five years.

Content and accuracy of the manuscript are the responsibility of the authors and manuscript should be submitted online by logging and registering on to http://www.ijndonline.org
Authors should clearly mention whether the manuscript is original research article, review article or short communication.
Manuscript should be to a maximum of 15 pages, typewritten, Times New Roman, 12, double space. Review articles should be between 15-25 typed pages (abstracts, illustrations and references are excluded).
Manuscript is accepted at the discretion of the editors and reviewers on the basis of content, originality, scientific accuracy, clarity and plagiarism check. All potentially acceptable manuscript in the fields of nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, food technology, food science and dietetics are peer reviewed.
The meta data of all the authors must be clearly specified with a mention of the corresponding author and his/her e-mail ID.
Authors must send the copyright and declaration form duly signed by all the co-authors once the article has been accepted for publication. The members of the Editorial Board and the Publisher of the journal are not responsible for the statements and opinions expressed by the authors in their manuscript published in the journal. Due permission must be sought whose copyrighted material are used in the preparation of the manuscript.

Illustration proof will be sent to the corresponding author for correction of typographical errors only; all corrections should be marked clearly, separately in a word document.
Accepted manuscript only will be published and the rejected manuscript will not be returned.
Corresponding author will receive only the pdf format of the published article.
Submission of an article does not guarantee publication.
