Abstract

Generally, the worms are harboured by young children who dwell in unhygienic surroundings. According to Nelson' 60 to 100 per cent children from one to ten years of age residing under unsanitary conditions suffer from worm infestation. Chaudhry and Rajalakshmi have reported that 36 per cent of 195 pre-schoolers and 81 per cent of 108 school boys respectively were found to harbour one or the other intestinal parasite such as round worm, giardin, hook worm and E. histolytica.
