Abstract

India is the largest producer of pulses. But the lack of the availability and use of necessary fumigants, has deprived our country of taking a lead in the proper marketability of these grains. This directly and indirectly involves safe storage and proper fumigation of these pulses against fungus, dampness etc. At the same time, no one can deny their fiigh susceptability to insects which necessitates the use of fumigants for safe storage.
