Abstract

Arthritis designated variously as Handigodu syndrome, Basapura syndrome and mystery disease are among the oldest known to man, the worst forms of which strike in the prime of manhood or womanhood, having virulence to cripple, disable and wrack with pain. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune, systemic disease involving chronic inflammation and destruction that begins in the synovial membrane of the joints and spreads to other joints.
