Abstract
Hypertension is one of the most important causes of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. It has become a significant health problem in many developing countries. Age, obesity, alcohol consumption and high blood pressure are closely associated with increasing risk of developing hypertension. The relevance of both hypertension and obesity, as important public health challenge, is increasing worldwide. Compared with the year 2000, the number of adults with hypertension is predicted to increase by 60 per cent to a total of 1.56 billion by the year 2025.Downloads
