Abstract
Pregnancy is one of the most critical and unique period in a woman's life cycle. The critical place that pregnancy occupies in the chain of life has health and social importance for individuals, families and society as a whole. Scientific evidence proved that the nutritional status of the mother significantly influence the course and outcome of pregnancy. Socio economic status of the families also play a crucial role in determining the health status of the newborn.Downloads
