Abstract

For the last few years efforts are being made to find out the possible application of Single Cell Protein (SCP) as solution to the world wide problem of protein deficiency. The SCP may be used as food for direct human consumption or as animal feed stuff. Various combinations of waste materials (bagasse and straws) and fungi have been tried to get SCP of acceptable nature.
