Abstract
Ceres is presenting a special issue on the theme "Regional Integration in the Third World". The world is rich in natural and human resources. Man's inventiveness continues to open up opportunities for development. However, there is a tragic gap between the high scientific research and the harsh realities of hunger, malnutrition and poverty, which are the lot of one half of mankind. This is the story which the Guatemalan noble prize winner Miguel Asturics tells us.Downloads
