Abstract
Fisheries sector plays an important role in the Indian economy as a source of foreign exchange and as a source of protein to the burgeoning population. In Indian society, however fishermen castes are among the economically and politically weakest social groups, ranking low in the Hindu caste hierarchy.Downloads
