Abstract
Every act and moment of life involves transformation, that is, expenditure of energy. Much energy is stored also in the body in the form of chemical energy. The study of the expenditure of energy in various activities was stepped up during world war II, when the nutritional requirements of individuals and energy cost of various industrial and household activities had been determined for the British workers.Downloads
